Uns amores de peixes
Cá vão alguns exemplos para mostrar como estes peixes são amorosos.
Depois de ver estas (e outras) histórias acho que os meus 4 até são bastante pacíficos!
Informação sobre procriação:
N. brichardi is for the most part, monogamous, meaning that they pair off for life. They are cave spawners and will produce around 100 fry per spawn. They will tend to their young for months and will, in fact, take care of several successive spawns at the same time. A word of caution, if the tank starts getting overcrowded, they will eat their young to make room for the next spawn.
(Ao menos são fieis)
Histórias amorosas:
My Papa Brichardi went on a rampage one day and gorged on all the male (I assume) baby Brichardi. He ate so much he was at least twice his normal girth. He did nothing for two days but lay around lazily, then finally died. In his killing spree he also tore a large chunk of flesh from the Mama Brichardi as she tried to protect her fry. There were about 40 fry inhabiting the tank when this happened. Watch out.
Porreiráços!
2 got killed by each other when i moved tank about and 1 got killed by a convict when he jumped over the divider, and he only jumped over the divider coz he was running for his life from the others
PedroPS: Desculpem o inglês mas não me apeteceu traduzir;
PPS: Deve ser a 1ª vez que se usa a palavra "porreiráço" na blogosf
